The association is open to every organisation involved in ice and winter swimming that accepts its statutes. This page summarises how to join; the exact conditions are set out in Chapter III of the statutes.
Who can join?
Any organisation, civil organisation or sports organisation involved in ice and winter swimming can join – including those set up to improve the quality of life of people over 16, people with disabilities, transplant recipients and pensioners – provided it takes part in the competition system and accepts the association's statutes.
Individuals who are not members of any member organisation can still compete as individual athletes by obtaining and paying for a competition licence.

Competing
Swimmers of member organisations can take part in the association's competitions and be selected for the Hungarian team.

The association is a member of the IISA, giving access to international competitions, qualifications and rules.

A voice
Member organisations take part in the General Assembly through their authorised representatives, can elect and be elected to the association's bodies, and can make proposals.

How to join

Application
The application is submitted to the board. It must include a declaration that the organisation accepts the statutes and will take part in the competition system. [HOW TO SUBMIT]

Decision
The board decides on admission at first instance. A refusal is given in writing with reasons and can be appealed to the General Assembly. [TIME TO DECIDE]

Notification
The association notifies the organisation of the decision in writing.

Membership fee
The board sets the membership fee each year at its first meeting. It consists of a club registration fee and an amount per licensed competitor, and is paid by bank transfer in two halves, by the last day of January and of July.
